How to Plan a Kids’ Birthday Party Around a Mobile Golf Simulator
To plan a kids’ birthday party with a golf simulator, pick the games first, then the hours, then the spot. Golf suits kids who want to swing a club. The Geaux Feral package adds 14 more games for everyone else. Most parties need about two hours, a garage, hall, or covered patio with power, 15 ft x 20 ft of floor, and 12 ft of ceiling.
TLDR:
- Decide on golf, Feral games, or both before you pick a package.
- A two-hour party fits the Birdie package, or a Feral booking on its own from $495.
- The Feral add-on only comes with the four-hour packages and up.
- A garage, hall, or covered patio works with power and a 15 ft x 20 ft space.
- Short rotations, and the birthday child goes first each round.
- An adult supervises the whole time. Our team runs the simulator, not childcare.
- Weekend dates go first, so lock the date before invitations go out.
Every parent around Denham Springs and Baton Rouge knows the birthday party circuit. The same bounce house, the same pizza, and a summer afternoon that is either too hot or rained out. By the third party of the month, the kids can tell you how it ends.
A simulator changes the plan without changing the venue. We bring it to your garage, your church hall, or your covered patio, from Walker and Gonzales to Prairieville and Hammond, and the party happens at home.

Why a Golf Simulator Works for a Kids’ Party
The short answer is that every kid gets a result on the first swing. The ball flies on screen, the numbers come up, and nobody has to be good at golf to enjoy it.
Kids also need to move. The CDC’s physical activity guidelines for children say kids ages 6 to 17 need 60 minutes or more of moderate-to-vigorous activity every day. A party built around swinging, throwing, and kicking counts toward that better than another hour on a couch.
It also flattens the room. A quiet eight-year-old can outdrive the loudest kid at the party, and that tends to be the story they tell at school on Monday.
If you are worried that none of the guests play golf, read our guide to why skill level does not matter on a simulator. The same logic holds for kids, only louder.
Golf or Geaux Feral: Picking the Games
The game choice shapes the rest of the plan, so make it first. There are two options, and plenty of parties use both.
Golf. The standard package is golf. It suits kids who already swing a club, older kids, and groups that want to keep a leaderboard for longest drive or closest to the pin.
Geaux Feral. The Geaux Feral multisport games add 14 games beyond golf, including baseball, soccer, bowling, hockey, basketball, and dodgeball. Up to 8 players can play at once, and nobody needs a lesson first.
For a mixed group of ages, or a room full of kids who have never held a club, Feral holds attention far longer than golf alone. Tell us who is coming and we will recommend one.
Which Package Fits a Kids’ Birthday Party?
Most kids’ parties run about two hours, so start there. The catch is that Feral as an add-on is not available on the two-hour package.
| Party plan | What to book | Price on our site |
|---|---|---|
| Two hours of golf | Birdie package | $495 |
| Two hours of Feral games | Feral on its own, Birdie length | From $495 |
| Four hours, golf then Feral | Eagle package plus Feral add-on | $900 plus $250 |
| A long family day | Champion (6 hours) or All Day (8 hours) | $1,300 or $1,600 |
A two-hour Feral booking costs the same as a two-hour golf booking, so a short party does not have to give up the extra games. The full list of tiers and add-ons is on our golf simulator packages and pricing.
Travel within 50 miles of Denham Springs is included. Past that, ask us and we will confirm before you book.
Where to Set Up at Home, a Hall, or a Patio
Space is the question most parents ask first. The good news is that a two-car garage, a church fellowship hall, or a covered patio usually works.
The simulator needs four things:
- Power. A standard outlet within reach.
- Floor space. 15 ft x 20 ft of open floor.
- Ceiling. 12 ft of clearance over the hitting spot, measured to the lowest point.
- A level surface and a clear path in. Doors, stairs, and gates all count.
Our guide to how a mobile golf simulator setup works walks through each one. If you are not sure, send us photos of the space, and we will tell you before you book.
Outdoors works too. Cover is not required, but it is preferred. Summer is the hard season here: National Weather Service 1991 to 2020 climate normals for Baton Rouge put the average August high at 92.2 degrees, and June averages 6.45 inches of rain. A garage or hall takes both off the table.
A Simple Party-Day Timeline
A good kids’ party has a rhythm: arrive, play, eat cake, play again, go home. The simulator fits around that rhythm, not the other way around.
Setup takes about an hour and a half before guests arrive, and teardown takes about an hour after they leave. Plan your own arrival time around that, since setup happens before the party clock starts.
A few habits keep the line moving:
- Short rotations. A few swings each, then hand off the club.
- Birthday child first. Each round starts with the guest of honor.
- A contest near the end. Longest drive, or a Feral game the whole group plays.
- Pause for cake. Everyone at the table means nobody waiting in line.
Want help planning the rotation? Tell us the ages and how many kids are coming, and we will suggest golf, Feral, or both.
Keeping the Hitting Area Safe and Fair
A room full of kids and a swinging club needs a few clear rules. Our team runs the simulator and keeps the hitting area safe, and the rules below cover the rest.
An adult supervises the whole time. A parent, guardian, or another responsible adult stays with the kids throughout. Our team runs play, but we do not provide childcare. Younger children usually want an adult within arm’s reach while they swing.
Shoes on. Closed-toe shoes are a good idea, and nobody swings barefoot on the hitting mat.
The right clubs. We bring clubs and balls sized for younger players. Left-handed clubs are available at no extra charge, so ask for them when you book.
Children from about five and up do well, especially with the Feral games. Older kids and teens tend to get competitive. Our mobile golf simulator for kids’ birthday parties covers what comes with the party in more detail.
How Booking Works for a Birthday Party
Book the simulator the way you would book any party vendor: early, and before the invitations go out.
Send us the date, the address, and roughly how many kids are coming. We check the calendar, send a quote, and then send an agreement to sign. A 50% deposit holds the date, and the remaining balance is due 7 days before the party.
Nothing is reserved until the agreement is signed, and the deposit is in. Weekend dates go first, so reach out as soon as you know the day. Our booking, pricing, and setup answers cover payment methods and weather.
What Parents Ask Before Booking a Golf Simulator Party
These are the questions parents ask most before they add a simulator to a birthday party. For anything else, call (225) 335-8279 or email info@riversidefairways.com.
What ages is a golf simulator party good for?
Children from about five and up do well, especially with the Geaux Feral package, which adds 14 games beyond golf. Older kids and teens tend to get competitive with it. Younger children usually want an adult within arm’s reach while they swing, and clubs come sized for younger players.
What if the kids are not interested in golf?
That is what the Feral package is for. It switches the same screen to baseball, soccer, bowling, hockey, basketball, dodgeball, and more. The games rotate quickly, so plenty of guests never touch the golf mode and still play the whole party. Up to 8 players can play at once.
Can we get the Feral games on a two-hour party?
Yes, by booking Feral on its own. The Feral add-on is not available on the two-hour Birdie package, because two hours does not leave time to play golf and change the system over. A standalone two-hour Feral booking starts at $495, the same as two hours of golf.
How much space does a kids’ golf simulator party need?
Plan for 15 ft x 20 ft of floor space, 12 ft of ceiling clearance, a level surface, a standard power outlet, and a clear path to bring equipment in. A two-car garage, a hall, or a covered patio usually works. Send photos and we will confirm before you book.
Do the kids need their own clubs?
No. We bring clubs and balls sized and selected for younger players, and left-handed clubs are available at no extra charge if you ask when you book. Closed-toe shoes are a good idea, and nobody swings barefoot on the hitting mat. There is no dress code beyond that.
Do parents need to supervise during the party?
Yes. A parent, guardian, or another responsible adult supervises the kids throughout the party. Our team runs the simulator and keeps the hitting area safe, but we do not provide childcare. Plan for at least one adult near the hitting area while play is running, especially with younger guests.
Give the birthday kid a party the whole class remembers. We set up before guests arrive, run play for the hours you book, and pack out after. You get one clear plan, no surprises on the day, and an owner on the phone from the first call.
